My Mom is Strong

Saturday, August 6th, 2011

Female role models is a very difficult concept. There are women who live life doing the right thing all the time and keep to themselves. There are women who do immature things and bother everyone. A female role model should be a great civilian and very caring. A female role model to me is someone who looks out for family. My mom was raised to believe that more is better so that’s what she knows best.

My mom was raised in a good time but also in a bad time. My mom is one of the types of people who likes when others are doing well. But gets jealous when others have way more then her. My mom is a great female role model and just like everyone else, sometimes she looses her way. My mom is going to college to be a teacher, because she has a great passion for kids.

Tenants from hell

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

Tenants from hell is a saying which, for many landlords and neighbours, is true. Not all tenants pay their rent on time, cause few problems, and leave the home in a fit state when they vacate it. On the odd occasion it has been known for a new tenant to move into a home with good intent, then completely change their minds. Some tenants move into a property with the intention of not paying the rent the next time it is due. By the time the landlord has gone to the courts to evict them, over six months has gone by. This results in a loss of six months rental income for the landlord, eviction charges, and all legal costs. After this, the landlord enters his property to find all furniture either missing or damaged, the white good have disappeared, and the home now needs to be fumigated and re-plastered.

Dictators of Evil

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Throughout human history, there have been those exceptionally evil individuals who lusted after power and control. Their greed was insatiable. We call these evil psychopaths “world dictators”. History is full of dictators, from the Caesars of Rome, to Alexander the Great of Greece, to Napoleon of France. Communist Russia had their evil world dictator in the form of Stalin. Millions of innocent people were murdered under the iron rule of Stalin. Probably the most famous world dictator was Hitler in Nazi Germany. Concentration camps were set up under the Nazis to exterminate the helpless Jews. Fortunately, the Allies finally defeated Hitler in 1944, and liberated the Jews from the Nazi death camps. Dictators still exist today, although on a somewhat smaller scale, such as the warlords of Africa and Southeast Asia. Dictators eventually fall, as their evil consumes them.

It wasn’t until 1922 When Dali attended Academia de San Fernando (School of Fine Arts) that his incredibly unique cubism paintings started to get noticed. Soon after he left school Dali quickly came into his own with his one of a kind obscure style using both classical and modernist techniques. He even grew a flamboyant moustache inspired by the seventeenth-century Spanish painter Diego Velazquez, which became an iconic characteristic of his appearance until the day he died. Astrology – A Skeptics Surpsise

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

I was 18 years old. I was an atheist, skeptical and considered astrology to be ridiculous. I was attending a town festival when a wizened woman approached my friends and I. She told my friend that he must be a Leo. His jaw dropped. He was a Leo. She talked with our group and one by one she was able to tell what sign each of us were. We were amazed. She explained that it was not so mysterious. She explained that in the way that people from a certain area had the same habits and attitudes people of the same sign shared traits as well.

After that I started to tune in to what friends of the same sign had in common. Before long I could pick out a person’s sign easier than I could guess their ethnicity! I can’t deny that it works but I don’t know why.
